Terms of Service

By downloading or using the Say It app, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Say It mobile application ("App") operated by Say It ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Say It. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission.

3. Your Account

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must not share your account or allow others to access it.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately at sayitstudy@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Say It offers optional paid subscriptions ("Say It Pro") that unlock premium features.

• Billing: Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Cancellation: You can cancel anytime through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.
• Free Trials: If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited upon purchase of a subscription.
• Refunds: Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy. We do not issue refunds directly.
• Price Changes: We may change subscription prices with reasonable notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.

To manage or cancel your subscription, go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its infrastructure
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any harmful code
• Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or interact with the App
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users

6. User Content

You retain ownership of the notes, flashcards, and other content you create in Say It. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not sell it to third parties.

7. AI Features

Say It uses AI services (Anthropic Claude and OpenAI Whisper) to generate flashcards and transcribe speech. AI-generated content may not always be accurate. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated flashcards before relying on them for study.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, graphics, logos, and code, is owned by Say It and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses. Your use of the App is at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Say It shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections 6, 8, 9, and 10 survive termination.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the jurisdiction where we operate.
