Say It ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Say It mobile application.

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

• Account information — your email address and password, or your Google account info if you sign in with Google
• Display name — the username you choose to show on the leaderboard
• Study content — notes, flashcard decks, and cards you create in the app

Information collected automatically

• Study activity — session history, cards reviewed, streaks, and study time
• App usage — points earned, badges unlocked, avatars purchased, and quests completed
• Device information — device type and OS version for app compatibility

How We Use Your Information

• Provide and operate the Say It app
• Save and sync your notes, flashcards, and study progress
• Display leaderboard rankings and social features
• Generate AI-powered flashcards and grade your study answers
• Transcribe spoken answers when you use the voice feature
• Award badges, streaks, and achievements based on your activity

Audio recordings are sent to OpenAI's Whisper service for transcription only and are not stored by us after transcription is complete. Note content used to generate flashcards is sent to Anthropic's API and is not stored beyond your account data.

Subscriptions and Billing

Say It offers optional paid subscriptions. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store — we do not collect or store your payment card information directly. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status and receive notifications when your subscription is active, renewed, or cancelled. Your subscription status is stored in your account to unlock premium features.

To cancel your subscription, go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We use Row Level Security so users can only access their own data. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us — your personal data will be deleted within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Say It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
